jean debuffet

i just love the craziness about debuffets pieces, it just looks like hes got his sharpies out and gone mad. the way he has stuck to the white background really makes it stand out in the normal landscape and even city centres the sculptures are placed in in a way i want to see them stripped back to see them a little clearer but i think it would lose the doodle appearance.
after seeing the plain black and white ones i think colours really works in this sense and the bold blocks and lines really work well with the wavy lines of the sculpture.
